After work, I went to Ikano just to pass my time while waiting for Jon to meet up with me.(It was suppose to be window shopping only). But I ended up spending about 4 hours walking while shopping at the same time. I just have to admit that I have a very low self-control. I guess I'm better in controlling my spending when I am with Jon. Sigh....After 4 hours of walking and shopped at the same time, I felt my whole body ached especially my heels. Yup, been walking around in my 3 inch shoes for *gasp..4 HOURS, alone. Hah! Serve me right!
I shopped happily, ignoring my heels need attention too. :( Came back home, body and legs still aching. But the end result was really worth it even with the "aching". At least I have bought a few stuff for myself. - ( Me beaming with pride!)...Seriously, it was worth it for every cents that I spent plus the aching . Will worry about the bills later. Hehe...

Jon and I went out scouting for good bargains for a baby pram. NO...OOO, I'm not expecting! We want to bless this couple from our cell who are expecting a baby girl by probably middle of December. We were shocked to see that an average baby pram costs about RM600 - RM1000++. This much for a baby pram??? Even some "ceh kai" pram in term of its design costs about RM600++ (after discounted rate). We went practically every shops that sells baby prams. And each shop never failed to amaze us with the price offered.
We even went to Parkson to check out the price. It was slightly better than any other shops but still the price was nearly RM500. We thought of just buy it but then again it did not look like it costs RM500. I mean, have you ever bought something so expensive but it doesn't have that "expensive" look? Like, would you buy a real LV bag which will definately burn a big hole in your pocket when the same "original-look-alike" LV bag can be found in Chow Kit Road? I dunno about you guys, but I wouldn't.

Continuation from my previous post, I could not upload all the photos, probably due to space constraint by Blogspot. But anyhow, here are some of the photos of little Ben! He is so cute, even his room is cuter! His parents decorated his room and it does reflects little Ben's personality, with pictures of him all over the room. I guess when both of the parents are graphics and fashion designers, the baby room tends to be DIFFERENT from other babies' rooms. Hehe..
Pic (Above) : Different poses of Little Ben make up as the placemats on the table. Cool huh!
Little Ben in real life-size photos pasted all over the room. (The photos look so real and the room looks so personalised...awww....)

THERE GOES MY FREEDOM....
Today is my first day at work after 3 months "brekkie" after my wedding. Finds it very hard to wake up this morning and worst part was I need to report myself in KL since my new branch has yet to be officially open in Kota Damansara. Was caught up with terrible jam, thank God my hubby sent me to work today so managed to get some sleep in the car...hehe!
But I kinda miss my long break after the wedding. I can wake up anytime I like, cook whatever I feel like eating and go out whenever I feel like it. But now, not anymore. I have to wake up at about 7:45am every morning and face the biggest challenge every morning - THE JAM! It was still alrite for me coz my house is quite near to my workplace but still, driving out early in the morning is a NIGHTMARE for me.
When I was helping my hubby in his business for the first 2 mths during my long break, it was pretty OK except that I did not really have much things to do, pretty much complained about it all day long and then I decided to take a month break after that and just stay at home and reflecting on what I want to do next. Well back then, I was really dissatisifed and bored and my phone bills was rocketing high coz' I had been making calls to friends quite frequently to release my boredom until there were times, when some of them did not pick up my calls. I wonder why??hehe....I guess they were just busy and not running away from me by ignoring my calls. After getting back to work today, how I wish I can just stay at home and do what I want. Oh gosh, I'm a pretty confused person, I'm pretty much can't decide what I want to do. I just need my FREEDOM back!!!
Oh well, I just have to continue working and see how it goes from there. Now, I'm so looking forward to every weekends so that I'm practically can do what I want ie: wake up at noon..haha!. "sigh.....what to do, need to save $$ to go shopping.....

Some snapshots before he got dunked. The guy in the picture, believe it not, is the Youth Pastor, he's quite a happening guy!
Ok..Ok, enough of my "teh si peng", back to T.H.E carnival. This year theme is "Malaysiaku, Warisanku" - or in plain English, "Malaysia Our Heritage". So all the stalls which were set up earlier have their own theme in accordance to the states in Malaysia. Here, you can play lotsa "kampung-styled" games like guli-guli, gasing, wau and much more. I was not brought up in the era of these popular traditional games(which means I'm still young??...hehehe) but hey, it was fun! What a day to spend my Saturday with games, food and food. (Did I just mention Food TWICE??). Here are some of the photos I took today:
Ever-smiley kiddy clown.......her face was painted by me! Hehe...not bad huh for an amateur like me! Its fun painting other people faces.
The "children face destructors" with their models!
I was helping out in the Face-Painting Booth or should I say, Hand-Painting!
Looks like so much fun sliding from up there. Too bad its only for kids.

This morning, I had a bonding session with my dad. And of all places, we bonded at the MARKET! Not just any market, it was the WET MARKET. Went out breakfast with him(My pork noodle was horrible, it was tasteless) and then off we were to the market. He had a list of things to buy. Mom gave the long list to him. Mom was not able to tag along coz my mom had to babysit my two nieces back at home. It was a surprise to me as Dad knew his way very well in the market, where to go, where to get the cheapest price for anything that he wanted to buy. I was impressed. I mean naturally, guys usually take what they want and just pay. Price negotiation was not their priority list, they just need to accomplish the mission assigned to them - get the things they/we wanted, pay and just GO.
Experiencing for the first time in the wet market, I can't bear the smell and the people crowding the place! It was like a war out there. Everyone shouting, bargaining and some stall owners even did promotion for their food/products they are selling. And then, a thought came to me. Will I be ready for all these? Being a housewife and etc...NO..OOO! Not now, I'm still not ready for these. Its unbearable!
Well, I do some grocery shopping but it has to be in air-cond places. I mean, its more convenient to do so, I walk and look at the products at my leisure pace and oh yes, I knew I can't bargain the prices, but look at me, do I look like I'm ready for a long negotiation/bargaining for let say half a chicken or a bundle of "siew bak choy"? Seriously NOT! And I don't usually buy groceries alone and it has to be in the mall so my hubby can tag along as well, usually we do it in the weekends when he's free. Why? So he ends up paying for it. I'm not manipulating him but just giving him the privilege to bless me..Haha! The beauty of being a wife. So extra money for me to go shopping!Woo...hoo....

Comparing now and back then, growing up from a teenager to being someone's wife, its different. I may not been doing all those crazy stuff again but its different kind of enjoyment. Now, I prefer a simple holiday getaway with Jon and once in a while we hang out with friends playing futsal, going out for "makans" with friends, childrens' church and sometimes going out with girl friends catching up with them. But it was not that easy anymore coz everyone has his/her own life now and with a busy schedule, its very hard to get everyone to agree on a date so everyone can just come out and meet up. Well, I guess, we all are going through different path of lives and knowing that some of us still keep in touch, its great.
Celebrating one of my housemate's birthday and we were posing in my room (shared with 2 other housemates)

My radiant looking cousin. My mom was so happy for her too!

Even my little nephew want to get to know the bride and congratulate her.
Lovely cuddly bears on the bridal car.
Can't resist to carry my adorable nephew but oh boy, he is heavy.

We were interrogated by the NZ custom officers and we were treated just like criminals. I was seperated from my Jonathan and we were both asked a couple of personal questions, like "Are we married? Wheres the marriage certificate?". I was like huh?? Marriage cert on our honeymoon trip?? Come on...Give us a break. Both of our session lasted about nearly 2 hours and that what I called a waste of time. Out bags were opened and all our personal stuff were taken out for public viewing. That was embarassing coz all our "honeymoon" personal stuff were publicly ransacked and taken out from the bag. Our bags were then taken for drug test and to be sniffed by a dog...What an experience...!
At then end, we found out that 5 people from our tour group were deported back to Malaysia coz they did not have any return tickets. Well, after our constant queries to our tour guide, only we found out that those people travelled all the way to NZ to work and did not plan to go back with us at the end of the trip. We were mad initially coz we were among the "suspect lists" as we were on the same tour as them and then that explained the long interrogation we had earlier.
This was my first overseas trip with Jon and this happened. I guess when people do ask me next time whether I remember my honeymoon trip, I bet I would! Woa....I mean seriously, this is what I called an experience of a lifetime, altho' a bitter one during interrogation but overall, I enjoyed the trip very much and I had so much fun with Jon. We ended up with so many pictures and we were clicking the camera all the way. I guess that is the beauty of having digital camera, we can take as many pictures as we want and delete those that we do not want later. So do take a peek of our honeymoon pictures ya'.
